Website preferences

Cookie Policy

Learn what cookies are, how this site’s preference controls work, and how to update your choices.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, and scripts. They can support site functionality, remember settings, measure use, or support advertising.

2. Categories

Strictly necessary

These support essential functions such as saving your privacy choice, protecting the site, and enabling navigation. They cannot be switched off through this preference panel because the site needs them to work.

Analytics

If enabled on the live site, analytics technologies may help us understand aggregate visitor activity and improve site content. They should remain disabled until you give consent where required.

Advertising and targeting

If added, these technologies may measure advertising performance or help personalize ads. They should remain disabled until you give consent where required and should be described with the actual provider names and purposes.

3. How this site currently saves choices

The included preference panel stores a choice in your browser’s local storage under a site-specific key. The current starter code records whether optional analytics and advertising categories are allowed, but it does not automatically install third-party tracking tags. Local storage is browser-specific, so choices may need to be made again on another device or after browser storage is cleared.

4. Managing your preferences

Use the “Cookie Settings” control in the footer to review or change your selection. You may also use browser settings to clear local storage and cookies. Blocking all storage may affect website features. Rejecting optional categories does not disable strictly necessary functions.

5. Third-party services

External maps, embedded media, analytics, advertising, or booking integrations may set or access their own technologies when added. Third-party services are governed by their own policies. Before enabling them, the site owner should list the actual provider, purpose, category, and retention period and ensure consent is collected before non-essential technologies run where required.

6. Policy updates and contact

We may revise this policy when website technologies change. For questions, email info@ittravelersgo.com.
